The Real, Official Guide to the Will Grayson, Will Grayson Tour with David Levithan and John Green
So in the last couple weeks, I have repeatedly released incorrect information about the tour David Levithan and I will be doing in April to support the release of our collaboratively written novel Will Grayson, Will Grayson.

And a couple more California events coming later in April!
I hope to see you there.
* Because touring is not free (or even cheap!) and because wonderful independent bookstores sometimes have to partner with off-site places, and because of various other things that we can get into if you are genuinely bored or curious, some of these events are ticketed, and to get a ticket you may have to purchase a book from the bookstore hosting the event or pay for a ticket or something. I am sorry if this is an inconvenience to you, and even sorrier if it will prevent me from meeting you, but it is an unfortunate necessity. So please call for tickets.
** Events that do not say TICKETED EVENT in big capital letters are free, although of course an excellent way of saying, "Thank you for bringing David Levithan and John Green to this city" is to buy a book from the bookstore that made it possible.

As a resident of the Southeast, I am sad. I cry inside.
Ditto for the Northwest. What have we done not to deserve a visit???
As a former bkstore manager, I love that you're advocating buying the books from the stores hosting you. I've seen so many big-name "event" authors advocating going to their websites to buy books or sending their readers to Costco (cough-Dr Phil-cough) or other bad things.
Keep bookstores alive! Will you be coming to the Pac NW?
I have to second CatcherGoneAwry, and my heart is broken. It'd be nice if you could come anywhere within non-crazy/stalkerish driving distance of Alabama. Anyway, can't wait to read the new book! DFTBA.
Whatever the mystery LA event is that's not LA Times Book Festival...I'll be there. :-)
:( the southeast loves you and wonders why you treat us like red-headed step children.
why do you hate nashville?
The tour spots are great...however, my schedule/opportunites to attend are not. I can't really complain, but still. I do plan on inquiring about and maybe requesting the book at both my local and school library. Good luck, have fun, and make sure Henry and the Yeti write you every day!
Come to Canada! Or at least Seattle. I'd drive to Seattle for you in a heartbeat.
So close, yet soooo far away, guess who is going to try and bum a ride from Houston to Austin April 9th? That's right, it's me.
I'm glad you're finally going to Colorado...but why oh why does it have to be when I'm living in Boston for school?
Ann Arbor, MI
Ann Arbor, MI
Ann Arbor, MI
Ann Arbor, MI
Ann Arbor, MI
Just saying.
John, do we have to RSVP for the non-ticketed events (specifically La Mesa, CA)? Thanks!!
Will an Australian Tour be Happening on this one? Or is it dependant on sales?
I look forward to the Thalia Kids' book club. The last one I went to (for a slightly younger audience reading "Kiki Strike") I was blown away by their insightful questions and short stories.
boo no one ever comes to wisconsin! I am going to try to make the chicago date but idk if i will be allowed because it is a school night. (yay for being a nerd). but i will try with all my might to go! :)
My only comfort in moving across the country (again) was that I would finally be in a state where things actually happened. A year later and you have made this true. Can't wait to see you in Boulder!
In response to one of the Jessica's in Boston. Our bookstore, R.J. Julia's in Madison, CT actually has reservations for college students coming down from Boston. Maybe you can find a friend and take a drive down.
Vancouver?
I mean like, couldn't you at least go to Seattle? Like I would FOR SURE drive an hour and half with a little border hopping to see you in a bookstore, but you aren't even in SEATTLE.
Will be at the La Mesa signing! Can't wait!
Are you still going to the LA Times Festival of Books?
I was sad that you weren't coming to Portland, OR. Then today, I was volunteering at the last non-profit feminist bookstore in the country and saw beneath the counter an ADVANCE COPY. And it was signed. And I managed to read the first fifteen pages and it was wonderful. It made up for not getting to see you. Good job, John.
Will you be signing other books at this event?
YES! Really excited about the Austin event...Will you be signing other books of yours at these events, or just WGx2?
As a resident of Florida, i am disappointed. We are lacking a little John Green down here.
9 April! Can't wait! :D (also gives me a reason to go to BookPeople on N Lamar... win!)
You should visit Eclectic Books while you're in Southern California! It's a great place and they'd love to have you.

ditto the southeast sentiment, catcher
So SF is out? Bummer. The rest of California misses you two!
I really enjoyed seeing you and Hank during the Tour de Nerdfighting, but I understand that where you go on a book tour isn't quite as flexible. Still, the Southeast is pretty awesome. Atlanta or Nashville. Maybe another time.
i get that it's disappointing that he isn't touring everywhere but i mean come on he's got a brand new baby at home and he's spending a good amount of spring sleeping in hotels. and there's always vidcon if he isn't touring to your city.
So happy you're coming to La Mesa! Likely going to more CA events, too. (: Love you both so much!
Come to Colorado Springs instead of Boulder. Please?
: P
I live in Nebraska. nothing good happens. But John, I read Looking for Alaska and it pretty much changed my life. thank you.
Will you ever come to Canada? :(
SO GLAD YOU ARE COMING TO AUSTIN *HAS BEEN EXPLODING FOR 2 WEEKS*
*end all caps*
Is the San Francisco event going to be free?
Canada needs some John Green! You should visit sometime. :)
Yaaaay more California events! I love ya John, but I am unfortunately unable to drive 7 1/2 hours to La Mesa. COME TO SAN JOSE!!...*ahem* Please. :)
*cough*Germany!!!!*cough* :)
I really wish you would visit Alabama....Didn't you say you grew up in Alabama???
Come home John....Come home.
Bay Area! We'd love to see you! And I know our bookstores are friendly :)
John. Atlanta. Soon. Please. haha but seriously I missed the last nerdfighter gahering here and it broke my heart so I need that made up for. :)
WHY WOULD YOU NOT COME TO IOWA CITY? The University of Iowa has the top writing program in the country!
SHOULDN"T YOU COME HERE?!
You should come to Phoenix/Glendale Arizona! I know you have lots of fans here!! I want to meet you!
Why don't you come to New England? It would definitely be awesome if you would!
come to north carolina! the southeast is sad inside because of the lack of john green in our area!
You should definitely try to come to Montgomery, AL. I would be so happy then! :) DFTBA!
Too bad i'm in the Southeast.
It's raining. The entire pacific northwest is crying. Do you know what that means? We wish that you would come here.
Seattle?
places in New York that aren't New York City? Yes, please!
Tampa, FL?
no love for Florida ever...authors never seem to come here.
three NYCs and no boston? sad face.
Nothing in PA? I'm waiting patiently....
PHOENIX, ARIZONA! Please? Love!
Toronto, please?
Why, WHY do you not come to Vegas, or anywhere in Nevada? Colorado, California... so close, yet SO far away... oh, right. Nevada is a giant black hole which devours any form of art and then vomits it out completely different and covered in sequins.
Southeast!!! COME! :D
You should come to Utah
Murray High School if possible
(the david archuleta school)
Why do you hate Seattle? Is it the grunge thing?
WHY WILL YOU NOT COME TO NORTH CAROLINA? This saddens me so :(
I don't even know why I bothered to look v.v Canada never gets a visit v.v
john green you should come to new jersey
Will you be able to buy a copy in say a Barnes and Noble bookstore on the release date?
please do an international tour and come to Australia =)
I bought my tickets for the New York event! I'm so excited that I can finally come to one of these! :)
I hope one of the other CA events is in SJ or SF :D
Hey John!
Will you ever come to Indiana University for an event in Bloomington, IN? I'm a student at IU and I know there are SEVERAL nerdfighters here that love you and would love to meet you. But none of us have a car, so we are unable to make it to Indianapolis. I feel as though a University is a great place to have an event as well. DFTBA!
Yeahhhhh :( What about the Northwest?!
Come to Montana! Not only am I here, but so is Hank. :)
come to england. or at least tell the stupid people of england to start reading your books cos hardly any of my friends have heard of you. i even had to go to amazon.co.uk to get all your books. grr to the world.
i get that it's disappointing that he isn't touring everywhere but i mean come on he's got a brand new baby at home and he's spending a good amount of spring sleeping in hotels. and there's always vidcon if he isn't touring to your city.
I am moving to Hay River NWT next week, so I will be nowhere near anywhere you will be lol, but at least I will be writing more on our blog about the transition, the northwest territories is going to be quite the adjustment John, it really is.
DFTBA
Hopefully seeing you! the stop that would have been the best for me to come is now sold out but i might be going to another one :D.
what about portland, OR?..... im sad T.T.....Oregon needs love too...
I would like to second Anonymous about visiting Indiana University. I'll be there in the fall and have missed you every time you have been in Chicago. (I was so psyched until The Book Cellar stop would basically cost as much as it takes me to get to and from Naperville. :/)
John...help!!!! My dughter , Ellie, who is your biggest fan waited too long to buy tickets for your event this Sunday in Manhattan. Now she is crying so hard. Any way you can get us in to see you???
Sandyph@comcast.net
You never come to North Carolina :(
Your family even lives here!
COME TO BOSTON, JOHN!!
I would pay anything if you came to Portugal, or even just Spain. Yes, I'd get in a car for 5+ hours just to meet you.
PLEASE COME!
gah! i'm going to chicago on thursday. why couldn't you go there a day later!? haha. :]
dftba.
This might be a stupid question, but if David Levithan going to be all these places at the same time? Cause I was going to ask my sister to get u to sign Looking For Alaska, because it's my favorite, but if he's there, I don't want to be rude, so maybe she should get Will Grayson,Will Grayson signed? Just wondering...
Thanks! :)
When will you be in San Francisco? =[
This tour needs moar North Carolina.
Just saying.
What are your other tour dates for california?
Would you be going back to Kepler's book store again this year?
the first state doesn't get a visit?? :(
New York does not deserve more than one place... Even though that is the place i am moving to in less than 2 years...
Oh and by the way i have been telling everyone i know to buy the book!
YAY! I'm so excited! :D
At first, as I was reading through the tour dates, there was no California and I thought no!!! But then at the end, it said some in California so... AWESOME! Hahaha, I'm pretty sure I didn't need to say that but... I'm just really excited now :D
Can't wait to read the book!
-Nathalie :)
Should we wait and buy the book at the event or can we get the book now and read it? I went to a bookstore recently and they had it, but I thought that I might want to wait to get it at the Borders Event on April 22.Also, can we bring other books for you to sign? And how long is this event? Please answer these questions!
It's like your management assumes people in Atlanta don't read. Sickening.
