When are you coming to the UK to launch Paper Towns here? I'm pretty sure you said last year Bloomsbury were publishing Paper Towns here (the UK) next year (this year) and you'll be coming to the UK

Sad that you're not coming closer to DC, but awesome that your tour is all over the country. I read an advance copy of Will Grayson, Will Grayson last year and absolutely loved it! I recommend it to everyone I know :-)

Totally unrelated, but a teacher came into my library and in our converstion brought up that she'd just gone to her 40th school reunion and reconnected with her best friend. She said her friend has a famous son who writes teen books and asked if I knew who John Green is. Lo and behold I showed her my screen saver of a picture I had taken with you at the ILF Conference in Ft. Wayne. It's destiny, you are to come toe the IN Blind School's Library! (Plus, I thought it was sweet that your mom brags on you and Hank.) Can't wait to reak WG,WG

Consider if that was really what you ment to write.

You have to choose a MONDAY to be in San Francisco? Really? You'd be totally worth the road trip, but I'm not sure I can justify a 3.5 hour drive each way just for the evening on a school night.
That said, if you're driving through Tahoe on your way home, I'm literally 2 minutes off I-80. Drop me a line if you have time for dinner or whatever.
Hope the bebe and parents are doing well!

Wait, wait, wait - no Florida? Disappointed!

(It's okay, we're a bit out of the way over here).

Nice!

I have been looking forward to your new book for ages, and have tried tracking down an ARC, but so far, nobody is forthcoming with one. (Rats!) Glad to hear it's soon available in stores!

Is there a cost for reserving a seat? (for the madison CT stop) I just want to make sure I have all the information before i set things up because although providing us with the dates is great i think nerdfighters deserve a little more of the ACTUAL details about the tour like prices and whatnot seeing as most of us are teenagers. if possible PLEASE discuss more of the details in a blog or vlog!! kthankbai!

Aww, no Virginia in your lineup?

At March 12, 2010 , Blogger Zoe Mouse said...

prices? times? please let us know these things, John. We care about them. I might be able to come to the San Francisco stop, but the whole "school-night" thing might play against me.

You know, you visited Maloprops in Asheville, NC once. Is that ever going to happen again? I wasn't a Nerdfighter the last time you were here, though I DID manage to snag one of your signed copies of Paper Towns. My friend ran into your parents, actually. They talked about Eagle's Nest and Looking For Alaska. So you should make Asheville a stop on your next book tour. Definitely.

French. The. Llama.
You're coming to Colorado.
And while it's on a school night, I think my parents have been sufficiently charmed by the few vlogbrothers videos they've seen. Also, it works as great incentive to actually do that nefarious trig homework.

Man my life is HARD.

La la la! The nice people at Penguin sent ME a signed copy. La la la! Being a bookseller is teh awesomest! La la la! I'm singing because Will Grayson Will Grayson was a genius combo of teen angst and hilarity. I read it last night and woke up chortling.

Will Grayson Will Grayson has officially taken the YA novel with gay characters to a new level. As someone who came out in the bad old days of plots about lives ruined and characters raped for being gay, I am Quite Pleased.

I've been clutching it to my bosom and rereading key bits. I'll probably reread it completely almost immediately.

I wanted Paper Towns and your other works signed but they said I could only have WGWG. Is there a way to get the rest of them signed by you?

I think you said in a video you're going to the LA Times Festival of Books...If you only decide to be there one of the days, could you please make it the Sunday? I have friends that are Jewish and can't go on Saturday..

Can you come to Portland Oregon?! That would be fantastic.

At April 02, 2010 , Anonymous Laura said...

I have never heard of you coming to Minnesota. Minneapolis is, like, huge. Sooooo you should make a stop sometime rather than going to Indianapolis twice. I know they rhyme, but for real it would be totally jokes if you would visit Minnesota. The rumors of our state always snowing and surrounded by trees is completely false. Many buildings preside and lots of nerdfighters wish to meet you.

next time you tour, can you come to Atlanta? Nothing ever comes to Atlanta...except the 1996 Olympics. Fine. Nothing interesting or at all worthwhile comes to Atlanta. please change that.

i went looking for your books and found them in stock at the bookstore and the public library which leads me to believe that, despite previous efforts butte, MT may in fact be composed of two awesome and one french the llama quarks! was wondering if any works forthcoming would be put in any other sections than young adult... well written but i question whether the floodgates of talent can be opened in such a "genre"... just a thought...

hope all is going well on the book tour. DFTBA!!!

footnote - maybe it's not the few, though judging by your lack of appearances in my home state, it's probably the case.

When you play a video game system for any period of time, it gets quite warm. In the original Nintendo Entertainment System, the primary heat venting port, if left open, is the slot into which the game is inserted. Now, as we all know, cats and dogs are naked. Pretty much all the time. And some dogs and cats have bladder/bowel control problems. The solution to your question about Red Green came to me as I remembered seeing my cat pressing his but against the opening of my NES when I returned with the game I wanted to play. I propose that Red Green was warming his butt on the exhaust/cart entry port when he was suddenly struck with a most terrible and poorly timed need to poop. Having gotten stuck with a small dog after my sister moved out and into a no-pet apartment, I have come to learn that once comfortable there is little that can be done to prompt said dog to move of its own volition, least of all the need to evacuate its bowels, from its warm comfy position. As a result I now keep all of my valuable on at least the second and probably the third shelf of a bookcase.
There is no doubt in my mind that your dog pooped in your Nintendo.
