From Indianapolis to Amsterdam
I'll be reading and signing twice in the coming days, once in my hometown and once in my favorite city ever. (
INDIANAPOLIS: This Friday, March 13th, I will be reading and talking and signing books at a fundraiser for The Second Story, an awesome nonprofit group that brings creative writing into students' lives through school programs and tutoring. The event is at 7 PM at the Harrison Center for the Arts (1505 N. Delaware). It's $5 for students; $8 for adults, and it all goes to a very worthy cause.
AMSTERDAM: That's right, Amsterdam! Thursday, March 19th. 7 PM. De Jaren (Nieuwe Doelenstraat 20-22 / 1012 CP Amsterdam). Reading, signing, and a generally nerdfightastic extravaganza.

I read that as "I'll be reading and *singing* twice in the coming days..."
And I was like "but, but... the gift, from 2007... you can't..."
LOL

I'll be seeing you in Amsterdam, John! It's less than a hundred miles away from here.
Best Wishes!
(Lol @ Alan's comment above)
How long do these nerdfightastic extravaganzas usually last? As in "should I book a hotel for the night, or will I be able to catch a late train back home"? Don't want to miss a second of the Amsterdam Gathering :)

I wish I could be at one of your signings. I've never been to Amsterdam, but I would love to visit one day.
Hey John! When are you coming to Boston? You said you remembered something about coming to Boston in one of the live blogs...
Hey John, I was just wondering if you ever check your old email anymore. The yahoo one. Because if you still have that account, you really should check it from time to time. =)
^ What Manar said :D
The one named after a line from Macbeth. You should check it, yes you should.
Random unrelated question:
Where did the theorum graphy parabola thing of Colin's go. It was on the site? Did you take it offf?
Hopefully that makes sense.
Like Alan said, you SHOULD DEFINATELY sing.
And yayy! Cant wait till the 19th! At 1pm i'll be having an english SAT-ish test, and then I'll rush to the trainstation to go to amsterdamm! :D Yayyyyy!
Hey! Looking forward to your visit to The Netherlands. You have a big fan base at the school where I teach and we are excited about having you! I may also venture up to A'dam to hear you Thursday night.
This is completely unrelated to this post, but I know you were a big Obama supporter and I was just wondering if your opinion of him has changed since he became president. I was an Obama fan, too, and the other day I was talking about it with my friends and I started wondering, "What would John Green say?" What do you think of the decisions he's made so far?

Have a safe trip John! I wish I lived in Amsterdam, too bad I can't speak Dutch.
LOL at Alan's comment. I think you broke that promise at least 10 times, apparently you can't help but sing along with John Darnielle.
Our book review blog chose you for the "I love your blog" award thing:

:]
Hi there John!
Thanks so much for coming to visit our students today at the American School of The Hague. They can't stop talking about you and your books. I haven't seen our kids this excited about an author since black books featuring obsessive, sparkly-skinned vampires hit the shelves.
Hope to catch your Thursday night presentation with Katie Flanagan.
Hey John! Grrr~ I wish you'd come to St. Louis...Or somewhere around there...
Over the past couple days, I have read all three of your books, and have been trying in vain to get your book co-written with Maureen Johnson and the lovely Lauren Myracle (She is so awesome!! Thank you for writing a book with her, because you are now deemed Awesome, too). I love your books so far and can't wait for another.
Thank you for writing, and I love your characters (I like how you give them unique traits, like how Colin was not only JUST a boy prodigy (cause that would be boringish....) but he also was an anagram-solver. "Uh, sis" is my favorite).
Sorry for my loong-shoort rant, just had to tell you that. Keep crankng out those books!

John,
I wanted to leave you this link.

It's a slide show about the beautiful ruins of Detroit.
Have fun in Amsterdam! I know from experience that it is a great place.
Hey-- not sure if you'll get this (or if you'll get the other email I sent), but we are wondering about the status of the event tonight. De Jaren says that it is a private dinner not a public reading.
Mr. Green,
Thanks for talking to us on Tuesday, it was great.
I have another question though, which character do you feel is the best representation of your high school life? You talked about the use of imagination and past experiences. Does that also pertain to your Character's as well?
I read Paper Towns, but if you feel you are exemplified more by another character in another one of your works, thats great, I plan on reading both of them very soon.
Thanks
I miss your text posts, John. I love your videos, don't get me wrong, but...why save all your funny for them?
That is super awesome. But I wish you would come to Oregon sometime too :( Or even just the Northwest Area!
