Last Second VP Predictions

I think Obama is going to announce his VP pick soon, so I figure I should put my hunches on record, so I can be duly humiliated when they are wrong:

1. Biden. I don't like Biden as a pick very much, but I think he has an excellent chance. He's knowledgeable, reasonably centrist, and knows more about foreign policy than anyone in the senate. I'm still not crazy about the pick, but so it goes.

or else possibly 2. Tim Kaine.

I don't particularly like either pick (I think Brian Schweitzer is the best choice available), but those are my predictions.

Oh, and here is a video of me talking about the war in Georgia while smearing peanut butter on my face. (It was a challenge from Hank.)

It is hilariously gross that chunks of your face keep dripping off. Imagine that was a common genetic disorder!
"What? Oh, that is just my common genetic disorder. Do not pay mind t my face falling off."

I have a peanut butter hunch that it is Biden as well.

I think they'd make a good team.

It's nice to have hope for the first time in I can't remember how long.

I'm still hoping for dark horse Wes Clark! He's all like "Hey John McCain, I see your military service, and raise you five stars, biatch!"

But in all seriousness, no one is doubting the bravery and heroism of John McCain, but his experiences simply don't equate to good foreign policy decisions. Everyone is giving McCain a blank check when it comes foreign policy!

As for Biden, I think he'd pwn whoever the GOP vp is at the vp debate (he does love hearing the sound of his own voice) but as you have so eloquently put in the past, he's so Joe Biden-y.

And I kinda like Kaine, people say he and Obama get along really well. But he doesn't add much at all to the ticket when it comes to experience.

my predictions
1. Evan Bayh
Even being from Indiana Bayh is not my first choice but it seems like Barack and Bayh get along. That combined with Bayh being both a governor and a member of congress. He also was a out spoken supporter of Hillary Clinton. This may help ease Barack to them. He lacks in foreign policy but in reality I think the number one thing a president needs to deal with other countries is for that country to respect them. Also it is clear countries like France and Germany love Obama so we can get them to respect U.S. once again.

2. Joe Biden
Simply because of his foreign policy and he is pretty well known.

My pick: Chuck Hagel

Hey, sorry if you've already answered this somewhere, but did you get "sparksflyup" from a passage in Job?

"Yet man is born to trouble
as surely as sparks fly upward." Job 5:7

Is that just a crazy coincidence? My pastor quoted it a couple times in his sermon today and I couldn't stop thinking about nerdfighters until, like, communion.

yeah, ditto UP's question; I noticed that passage in Job the other day, too, and immediately thought of this blog.

also, I learned more from that peanut-buttery video than I've learned from several newspaper articles. Your voice is very good for storytelling, John. Good enough that I was able to ignore for 4 minutes that the smell and taste of peanut butter makes me want to throw up. (Was that the most strangely-put compliment ever, or what?)

Go Brian Schweitzer!

But then I'm from Montana, so I might be biased. A little.

i, too, had thoughts about people with disorders where their face falls off. also, near the end, when it was sagging everywhere, um, whahahaha! i had to watch it twice to get what you were saying tho, cuz i was laughing so much at your face.

Do you have a McCain VP prediction? Being from Cincinnati, I'm fearful of his choosing Rob Portman to strengthen the right-wingers.
