Well, I don't know... I mean, sure, they were both hillarious, but he didn't have giraffe sex (there goes the male audiance), and he didn't mention Edward or Jacob (there goes the female audiance). By the way, I reread aBoK (haha! It's like, a book, but, like, aBoK!) yesterday and I have to thank you again for being such an amazing author. Your books have actually changed my life. Not in any big dramatic noticeable-to-anyone-anywhere way, but in a way that will stick with me forever. Thanks for being so awesome!
i want to send your rant about evil babies to my agent who says that the title EVIL BABY will totally sink my 6-8 year old series book because Americans will not buy a book called EVIL BABY.
I'd totally buy a book called EVIL BABY. But then i'm not american. could she be right?
(ps. the picture book EVIL WEASEL apparently had to be retitled to suit American audiences. what? what? why? Why?)
dennis' ad is for sure clever, well put-together, etc.
what's brilliant about you is your accessibility. (hmm...that sounds kind of terrible). :) point being, you have built this incredible fan base -- & you can chalk that up to hank all you want, but it's definitely a dual effort, & impact. you also have (at least) as much natural charm & acting ability as dennis, via your storytelling, & i'm pretty sure you know it. :)
John, your books are amazing(!!!) And I am itching to read Paper Towns, especially now that it is summer which everyone knows is prime new material reading time. Anyway, Looking For Alaska really saved me when I needed to be saved. Since then I have passed it on to so many other people who have had only exceptionally good things to say about it. Thank you so much for writing such amazing books.
i am new to you..or you are new to me. i saw you on youtube so I decided to stalk you through your blogs and other writings. anyway you are incredibly adorable if i weren't attach i'd ask for your number
rachael said... i have to say i agree. jacob is much better for an imaginary person/werewolf. all edward has going for him are some pretty words and sparkely skin.
btw, there may not be much giraffe sex, but i like you better john.
Yay for you Rachael. You are filled with awesome because: 1. we have the same name cept I spell it without the other a. 2. You agree with me on The Edward / Jacob dilemma. 3. You think that John is better than Hank like me!
Ok, thank you John!!! I have been trying to convince people forever that if your even going to talk about Twilight its obviously jacob.(Duh)
Edward is the pretty boy diggery in the series! (Funny thing that Robert Pattinson plays both Edward and Diggery!)
Hmm. See, I'd just go back in time and EAT the evil babies. Because it's bad to eat babies, but it's not bad to eat evil babies. That's true, isn't it?
Then again. Honestly? I think I'd take the million dollars. Forget the time machine. Messing with the time-space continuum can only result in bad sequels.
Although it's funny, because I had this book idea that I was flirting with awhile back about an evil villain who takes over the world by impregnating women with his clones. This was a bad idea, mainly because I wanted to tell it from the evil villain's perspective, and talk about how he had grown up without a father, and so he was going to father a whole planet ... and, you know, that's just weird.
Weirder than giraffe sex, even. Which is kind of normal, for giraffes.
I simply adore you for choosing Jacob over Edward. Whenever I even mention the twilight series in public, there are at least ten girls that materialize in front of me and squeal, "OHMIGOD! Edward!". It's just wrong. (You should see the look on my best friend's face as I write this. It's BEYOND hilarious.)
But, anyways, I have to tell you that I love your books and I really can't wait to read everything else you write. So, yeah, that's all I have to say :]

Haha John, you are so much more interesting.
that's the thing about brilliance, it's like art, subjective and without hierarchy.
both are brilliant.

Hmmmmmmmm.... I wonder why......!
