I'm still waiting on Indiana. Obama has a 24,000 lead...but it's still in the "too close to call" category. I've been campaigning there for a while, now and it would really be great to see my efforts materialize.
Good call, John. Thanks for the awesome president.
"So I stood at my little booth sweating bullets, and punched my stylus through the appropriate holes for John "It's Hard to Unseat a Wartime President" Kerry for president and Barack "Our Next President" Obama for U. S. Senate, and then I flipped to the next page."
Woot! I'm proud of OHIO! We FINALLY pulled through. I'm only 17, so I wasn't able to vote, but I did have the opportunity to meet both Senator McCain and President Elect Obama when they were in Ohio, and I'm proud of that. I'm proud of the fact that in 17 years I have seen more than most people get to see in a lifetime, and I am proud of the fact that I am about to see so much more.
This is sorta like Thanksgiving, when you go around the table and list all of the things for which you are thankful, except we are going around John Green's blog listing all of the things that we are proud of.
John, you should be proud that this sort of bonding has occured on your blog.
I am on a college campus in Indiana and there was definitely a small riot (in the best sense of the word possible) last night. So sorry I missed you guys in Greenwood but we TURNED INDIANA BLUE YES!!!!!!
it is amazing to hear so many voicing the same sentiment i am feeling-- for the first time, maybe ever, i am truly proud to be an american. even though i now live in canada! is till got to vote in the most awesome presidential race ever.
I'm not so proud of Oklahoma, and a little sad that my Obama vote didn't actually count here, but so proud and happy that the rest of the country pulled through. So happy, I was doing my happy dance all over my house last night :)
I am so unbelievably proud of my country right now. In Seattle a thousand people were so darn happy, they had to gather near Pike Place market and celebrate together. It was the best unity I've seen since 9/11
As a life-long Hoosier who's just recently moved to Illinois, I was so excited when they called Indiana for Obama. I wish I had been a part of voting for him in Indiana, but alas, I had already registered here in Illinois, and of course I thought there was no chance that Hoosiers wouldn't go red like they have for the past 40 years.

I'd be proud to be a Hoosier, too. :)

They still haven't called Indiana. I'm proud of my country tonight. And looking forward to seeing the remaining results roll in.
I am proud to be human.
I am proud to live on this planet.
and I am proud to be up since 4am to see this miraculous, beautiful, wonderful, moment.
I'm even proud of the fact that I look like a panda.
At the same time, I'm more than that. I'm thankful to be human and to live on this planet. Oh wow.
Darn straight!
I have never been so proud of my fellow Hoosiers.
For the first time in a long time, I am proud to be an Ohioan again and very proud to be an American again!
One of the first times in my whole life, I'm so proud of this country.

Goodness. I have never been happier to live in this country.
I'm not especially proud to be a Californian (See: Prop 8), but i AM beyond thrilled about the Obama presidency.
Yes, we can
A great moment for all of us to be sure, but like the man says, we all have got a lot of work to do in the days ahead. Stay up for the rising!
I'm not quite so proud to be a Californian. Yes on 8? Really?

Yes! Go Hoosiers! Go Obama!!!!!
So proud to be a Hoosier...in Bloomington, no less!

Hoosiers?
And no one has referenced Vonnegut yet?
I was just about to.
Glad someone else did before me, or I would have felt pretty weird.
