Australia!
I'm sitting in an airport getting ready to experience the miracle of flight for 23 hours.
If you live in Melbourne, I hope to see you on May 31st. (RSVP here.)
If you live in Sydney, I hope to see you on June 3rd at Kinokuniya at 7 PM.

Silly Australia... I'm kind of extremely jealous right now.
hmmm a flight to Australia? is it Oceanic 815?
Exciting! See you on the 31st!
23 hours is insane. I hope your legs don't cramp up and cease functioning. Best wishes for safe travels.
I've done that 23 hours of flying when I went from Melbourne to Boston. It's not fun. But Australia is! xD
Yay! I can't wait till 3rd June XD
I hope you have decent in-flight entertainment and looking forward to (possibly) another airport video.
Best Wishes!
ah yes, those grey-speckled walls...i hope you have a safe flight and have an awesome time with all those australian nerdfighters!
I love Sydney. I've only ever been there in June/July. It can be cold and then you're all confused and sad because you should be dripping sweat. Instead, your fingers are going numb.
make sure to hang around Sydney Harbor at sunset. very pretty.
Good luck with the jet lag.
Couldn't you possibly fly for another, lets say, two hours and pop over to little old New Zealand? I think we deserve some John Green as well! Anyway, I hope you have a good time over there, just make sure you come here eventually!
I would totally come to one of those events if it wasn't for the fact that Virginia is nowhere near Australia. *sigh* Stupid globe.
Good luck!
You should come to Biloxi, MS!:D
Thank you for the sacrifice of 23 hours flight. We really really REALLY appreciate it, and very much look forward to hanging out. Woot!
I've been looking forward to this John! See you in Sydney!
No RSVP required?
how about stretching your legs a little bit in Jakarta on your way back?
I'm insanely excited... I will be there on Sunday! Hope the flight is okay and that you're not really jet lagged when you get here.
If you have time to explore Melbourne I recommend the arcades near Flinders Street Station down DeGraves Street. And Southbank.
Thanks for taking the time to get down here, anyway.
Yayyyy! I can't wait for sunday :)
What will you be doing until then? Not to sound like a stalker..
Aww! Brisbane has been left out!
Have fun--Oz is fantastic.
Just finished the awesome nerdtastic super hero book DULL BOY (also Dutton). Was thinking that you and the Nerdfighters would love it!
There's a scene in an alternative school cafeteria that's one of the funniest things I've ever read in YA.
Best wishes! =;
I have family from Australia! Good luck John, hope all goes well, keep up the great work, friend.

Oh btw, I read the Great Gatsby for my grade twelve English Class, and Howl by Allen Ginsberg, and they are both fantastic! What do you think of them?
Have fun & good luck, John ^_^
So jealous.
The only thing I can say is that you're missing book expo so there *blows raspberry*.
But then again, I rather be in austrailia too.
Take a picture of a dingo.

Thanks so much for a dynamic session at the State Library of Victoria today. My son, who hardly reads, even bought 'Paper towns'.
Things I should have said when I met John Green:
1. Thank you for coming to Melbourne.
1.1 Why did you thank me for standing in line to see you, when you spent 23 hours on a plane to see us?
2. Thank you for Paper Towns.
2.1 Thank you for indirectly making me read Moby Dick, Leaves of Grass and Slaughter-house Five.
2.2 Thank you for making sitting in the corner with a notebook cool.
3. Thank you for thisisnottom. It is the awesomest thing ever to be awesome.
3.1 Thank you for helping me to defeat my inability to resist spoilers.
Alas I could not convince my parents that it would be fool to fly from Arizona to Australia to see John Green. So I shall go to my friend Sydney's house and read a book about Australian legends come to life (Dingo by Charles De Lint) and pretend that I am there.
*Jealous and completely unappeased smiley face*
Tsk, tsk. Australia? Can't you stop for a visit back in Birmingham at some point? (: Alabama misses you!
so how do you go flying when you are scared of heights? i hope your burn is ok now - i'm sorry the coffee in australia was so cruel!!
it was fab to meet you - and thank you again for supporting our fight against parallel importation. reading matters was awesome. thanks again!
p.s. if you see tobin tell him he was totally awesome also.
John. on June 6th , today, i went to the White Sox game, and sitting right in front of me, looked to be your twin. Do you have a twin we never knew about?

I propose that you scoot on up to Canada! Much less hassle than a 23 hour flight - you could probably walk if you really wanted to. Or rollerblade. That wuld be both more entertaining, and more hasty!
Hope you're having a blast in Australia :D.
It's been two weeks since your last update. I'm afraid, John Green, that you have FORGOTTEN to be awesome.
*gasp* ^
it IS looking that way....
:(
