Politics

1. The federal government shows again that they can be trusted with our money, so long as it is spent on defense, with their plan to save World of Warcraft from the terrorists. (Really.)

2. Everyone is so upset about Geraldine Ferraro's bafflingly stupid argument, "If Obama was a white man, he wouldn't be in this position." (Because, like, you know, white men have traditionally fared so poorly in American elections.) Anyway, everyone's outraged about the content of the remark, but where is the outrage about Geraldine Ferraro's terrible grammar?

3. Over at nerdfighters.com, many interesting things are happening. (I don't know why I even bother to mention that, since more people visit nerdfighters.com a day than visit this blog in a year). Anyway, in my next video, I believe I'm going to show the cover(s?!?!?!) of PAPER TOWNS.

Ah, John, I still read you here.

I can't believe points #1 and #2. Both astonish me.

And politics... I'm running for state representative in Maine. It's insane. The campaign has barely begun and I'm already stunned by the things that have happened. It's a bizarre world.

It's because you never post here anymore. That Bro 2.0 stuff was really distracting, eh?

As you know, I am a numbers guy, but I do like to make fun of bad grammer (oops -1 Sp).

Did Geraldine forget "then"? Did she fail to fully describe the position? Did she use the wrong tense? I'll try..."Obama stretched his lithe ebony legs apart and placed his hands on the police car. If Obama was a white man, he wouldn't have been in this position."

**Delurking to prove that people DO read this!**

Boy, Point #1 -- is blindingly stupid. Can't believe that's not a joke.

1. i can't believe that's not a joke.

2. worry not, i am outraged not only by her comment but also by her poor grammar, though maybe i am not the best one to say so since i am allergic to the shift key.

Holy simple past tense subjunctive! If I were a writer, my editor would've corrected me instantly.

John, do you ever read these comments?

SBTom asks if I read these comments: Yes, I do! (Although with varying degrees of frequency.)

1. Something has to be done to provide employment opportunities for the thousands who can't read and by-passed university to host LAN parties and play WoW. This is just a pro-active response. The Romans called it Bread n Circus.

2. I think the outrage is basically lost because journalists haven't paid attention to spelling or grammar since Word now does that for us. and thank you Mr. Gates!

3. Can't wait to see it. I hope you post it before my boys and I take our sleeping bags out into the -8 nights to start the line forming at our Indigo for it's release.

Me personaly, I HATE when people talking in bad grammar. I always correct them! That's why I have been the best one in all of the English exams for two years in a row! My parents were so proud. (t braging if this makes anybody like me better.)

And, I don't know about point two. If there was no Hilary, I would have voted for Obama, but I would rather vote for Hilary. (I'm not a raisist though!)

And, what is "Paper Towns"? Wait! Maybe I should read the rest of the site so I understand. Oh well, can anybody answer me, please?

OMG! Did anybody hear what happened in Albania? The US blew up some weapons because Albania didn't get rid of them when the US told them to. I think they said that 5 people died and more than 45 are injured. you should have seen how it happened!! the smoke turned into a biy mushroom! and they blew the station right next to a town!

And poland is revoluting about America building stations there. there were students, teachers, actors, famous people, and even elders! but the country took no notice, and they are not showing anything on the polish TV. All the people say they are moving to eastren europe because they want to attack Russia, or something. they even have stations built now in turkey, ukraine, and serbia! they really must be scared.

and why are they demanding iran to stop making weapons, while they make even worse weapons! why are they so afraid? no one wants america. they're only making themselfs look pathetic! can't wait when Hilary or Obama come and set things right. I would kill myself if they follow in Bush's footsteps. he had done enough damage already.
