Oh my God. OH MY GOD.
I DO live near Spartanburg, South Carolina, and I have been waiting... and waiting... and WAITING for an author, any author, even an author I didn't like that much, to show up in SC. WAITING. They have not shown up. And now, you, not only an author but my FAVORITE author, is coming to South Carolina... and I'll be in New York.
This is the most monumentally sucky event ever. Okay, not ever, but at least extremely recently.
You must come back. Only, not so much Spartanburg, but Myrtle Beach.
Please??

That high and tight cut is amazing.

Did you wish the "beautician" best wishes as well?

=)

Yay! I've been having the worst two weeks (my dog ran away AND someone stole my umbrella...who DOES that?) and now the day I get home to Spartanburg for spring break, something good is happening!

*anger brews*

I live in South Carolina. And, you know, if I had a car, I would go to Spartanburg. I would wear a t-shirt that said "Feel the power of my Nerdfighter MOJO!" and I would bring Caroline's copy of Looking for Alaska to get it signed and I would buy An Abundance of Katherines (limited money, haven't yet) and get it signed, and I would spend the entire time rapt with attention because you are the most awesomest author EVER and I hate this because I DON'T have a car, and I DON'T have a ride, and SC is loser and has NO public transportation AT ALL and this sucks.

I really, really, really, really want to come. But, I agree with Caroline, you should, like, stop by Myrtle Beach or something, you know? Please??????? I'm not above begging. I will beg. I really will. I kind of am right now...hmm...

well, Best Wishes!

Wow I found your site by accident. You've been all over the news. I can't believe these book banners- you're the biggest topic in the book world because of them.

John! The students in Jessica Mize's "Library Services to Young Adults" class would love for you to visit Columbus, Ohio. We all enjoyed "Looking for Alaska". And we love your blog!

John, You're so awesome! I wish I lived in S.C.!!!

I've done some pretty awkward odd things when getting off the phone or in person...some of those "Why the heck did I EVER say that?!" moments. So I know how you feel.

The hair cut isn't that bad, John. But I know how you feel. Eek.

Well,

DFTBA!!!

i have a nerdfighter baby (the first thing we read to her when she came home from the hospital was "to kill a mockingbird," partly because it's awesome and partly so that she'd understand why her nickname is scout - not that she was really cognitive at three days old, but whatever). ironically, i also just started re-reading "slaughterhouse five" last night without any prior knowledge of this vlog topic. hooray for vonnegut (about whom i will one day write a masters thesis, hopefully)!

Pahahahahaha! That had to be one of the funniest videos i've ever watched. I love your sarcasm John. And your books.
Oh and by the way, we need more information on the LFA movie! The suspense is killing me here!
