Congrats on the Printz honor!!! I loved 'Katherines' and am hooked, like a daily cup of coffee, on your hysterical vlog.

1. Congratulations!
2. It's a good thing Hank did the lady-lady-lady-John Green thing on Friday to balance this out.
3. May I just rub it in that you failed to accurately predict the winner? (But then, so did I...)

I already posted a congrats on my blog (not that you necessarily would ever read it). How very cool and excellent, and how very wonderful of Sarah to tape the whole thing to share.

How totally wonderful -- congrats!

Sorry, that last one was from Kelly Fineman. Blogger refused to acknowledge me. Sigh.

That is SO COOL!!!

This only proves what all of us already know, which that you are a kick ass writer and should continue being such.

I haven't smiled that hard for someone else in days man.

Hey, serious question, have you read any Kevin Brockmeier? He's an old friend of mine. If you haven't read any of his stuff, I think you'd like it.

This is fantastic. So awesome for you to share this with us. Congratulations for your well deserved honor.

I was at the press conference this morning and I "WOO-HOO"ed really loudly for you!! :)

(I think they want to keep having hilarious speeches at the Printz ceremonies every year. Can't wait to hear the one in DC!)

I would just like to say, for the record, that while I did not correctly call the Printz Winner, I *did* predict a Printz Honor for Katherines way back in October, when John was visiting my library. I believe that John pooh-poohed the idea. Which makes me even happier that Katherines got the Printz - not only did a richly deserving book get its due, but, I, in fact, was right! Hee hee!

Congrats!!! Whooo Hoooo!!!

congrats!!!!

i'm wondering if the committee member who called you saw you at ALAN (or if they were familiar with the text of the speech you gave)....

Nice job! Katherines deserves it.

Did you manage to get Superbowl tickets?

Go Bears!

Congratulations, John. Well deserved honors for Katherines! Thanks for letting us share your joy.

Good Job! I am not reading Katherines right now because i am currently reading Looking For Alaska but it is on my list to read. My friend told me about your books and vlogs, and I am hooked on both and think they are both hilarious. Keep up the good work!

Just because I remember seeing the pictures from last year's "Very Good Printz Day" post... If that is the same cell phone in both of these posts, I think you should vow to never take it out of service OR at least have it bronzed. I mean come on, that phone has brought you a lot of good news within the last 370 days.

All I can say is that I was sitting in the audience with some folks from last year's Printz committee and there was some kind of jumpin' up and down going on in the row when Katherine was called.
CONGRATULATIONS!!

Everyone: Thanks for the kind words. It means a lot to me.

Maria from Bettendorf: I am indeed shocked and amazed by your psychic powers. Please predict that I will soon win Powerball.

Peter: I have not read Kevin Brockmeier, but have heard about him from several others. I'm on the case!

Angela: I'm glad I get to make a speech at this year's ALA, but I am most excited to hear Mr. Zusak.

Anonymous: I do not have Superbowl tickets. If you can get me some, I am very interested.

A million congratulations for your well-deserved Printz honor. Two in a row - wow. Amazing.

I was sad The Book Thief didn't win. :(

1. I just stayed up really really late last night to read "Looking for Alaska" in one marathon read, despite having an 8am studio class.

2. You made me cry, and laugh, and feel like the characters were alive.

3. I don't have a copy of "An Abundance of Katherines" yet, and it's killing me.

Therefore: You are my new favorite author.
