LAST SECOND VISIT TO CHICAGO SUBURBS
(The visit itself is not really last-second. I'm just incredibly disorganized right now.)
I'll be visiting the Schaumburg Township District Main Library at 130 South Roselle Road in Schaumburg, IL TODAY at 7 PM. Come if you can!
Totally unrelated: Our friend Shannon James just passed the bar! Hooray, Shannon! This means that I can finally go on my long-awaited crime spree, because I finally have a lawyer.

I'd love to see the strange and creative crimes of John Green...
Oh, imagine the possibilities...
I loved seeing you at STDL tonight! I really enjoyed your talk and the kids at the Barrington Library will love getting a copy of your book! Thanks much. Nerdfighters! :D
Hey John... I don't know a lot of career novelists that I have easy access to ask. But the other day I read an article from a writer who was throwing a fit about NaNoWriMo cheapening her sacred career (to be honest I cannot for the life of me remember who wrote it). But it made me curious about the rest of the published author-ly world...
what is your take on NaNoWriMo (www.nanowrimo.org)?
figured it was easier to catch you in the comments there than the B2.0 site.

Dear John,
About two minutes ago, I finished reading Alaska. I know, I'm a bad nerdfighter. I'd read Katherines before B2.0 even started (and loved it), but for some reason, there were so many books to read and so little time, and I never got to Looking for Alaska until now.
But I just wanted to tell you how much your book meant to me. It certainly brought me to tears, but I think that it was more than just the sadness of death. I closed the book, feeling, I don't know. I can't quite describe it. Empty and full at the same time maybe.
Anyway, thank you for giving me the first really meaningful reading experience I've had in a long time. And I can't wait for Paper Towns!
Your loyal nerdfighter and aspiring novelist (okay, so I haven't actually written a novel yet but NaNoWriMo is next month and I'm so excited!),
Helen
P.S. I know this has been a really long comment, but I love anagrams! My favorite almost-anagram (it had an "a" in front of it but I left it out) of my name is Nine Emerald Herons. And I just realized that Keely mentioned Nanowrimo and I didn't even notice until now.
