Brotherhood 2.0: April 10: Role Models
In which John takes you to the eye doctor and then talks about role models.
EARLY VIEWERS: The video may take a little while to really be up, but I can’t wait because I’m uploading from Starbucks (Internet is out at home) and I don’t want to be here any longer because this couple sitting next to me is making out. Like, they are kissing so sloppily and so near to me that, technically, they are kind of kissing me. It is supremely gross. Furthermore, they don’t seem to have made a purchase–so they are not only engaging in lewd conduct. They are also loitering.

wow that must of sucked sitting in starsbuck when two people are making out next/behind you. anyways, I just finished reading abundance of katherines yesterday and i love it alot! wish to read more of your books soon!
You know, I visit your blog almost daily along with so many other author's blogs (Scott Westerfeld, Holly Black, Libba Bray, Justine Larbalestier, Maureen Johnson, Stephenie Meyer and Sarah Dessen) because I'm that much of an avid reader that I want to know where these amazing books come from. I want to learn from everything you all say because I think you've succeeded in a huge way at creating books that touch people's minds and hearts. I love to write, I've said this many times and there is nothing that could happen in my life that would make me want to stop writing. I can relate to a lot of the things that all of you post about as writers, and I just love the thought of being able to be a writer. I could ask you about how you go about finding ideas to write about, how you get through writer's block, or how you do so many things but I think that the toughest question that I would like to find an answer to is this: How do you know that you have what it takes to be a writer? All joking aside, I'd really like to know what you think. Maybe you don't know. Maybe nobody knows. I was just curious.
hi john - I'm leaving this comment from a cramped dorm room in a tiny ohio town I think you may have heard of. that's right- gambier. after watching all your videos from april, I can safely say that I am completely addicted to you and your brother's video blog.
on the couple making out next to you- gross. the same thing happened to me last week, only not in gambier's one and only coffee shop, but in GUND COMPUTER LAB, which is even more wrong. Gund is a place for misery and sleeplessness and last minute paper writing, not sloppy makeouts.
in short, keep up the vastly entertaining work, and don't let paris hilton blind you.
well, i'm writing this from quite a spacious master bedroom...even though that doesn't really matter.
..this comment has very little to do with your video, but more with my curiosity
-do you and hank watch american idol? because it'd be REALLY interesting to know what you guys think of some of the contestants, and about reality television in general.
that videoblog blew me away-if people were sincere in asking you how you felt about drunk driving they obviously didn't read a word of "alaska." wow--what did they think you'd say: i *love* it and if i owned my own car i'd drive drunk every day? i'm thrilled i killed my character in a drunk driving accident because it made for such a happy ending? it was quite kind and responsible of you to answer the question the way you did. bravo.
