So I followed the link and wound up inventing another formula which I left her in the comments.
I feel sort of bad: you probably thought that it would take years of friendship plus writing a really good book to get me to invent a mathematico-romantic theory. Turns out it's enough to just mention me in a single blog entry. What a whore.
Firstly, I want to let you know that I am still without Katherines, and I'm getting a little upset. Borders and Barnes and Noble have failed to ship it in. Secondly, I recently attended a friend's birthday party and for a gift I bought her the two best books I've ever read. The Sledding Hill by Chris Crutcher was one (if you've yet to read this gem, hurry up and get on it), and Alaska was the other. Hopefully she'll love it as much as I did. Thanks for making birthday-gift shopping easy...
