The Real, Official Guide to the Will Grayson, Will Grayson Tour with David Levithan and John Green

And a couple more California events coming later in April!

I hope to see you there.

* Because touring is not free (or even cheap!) and because wonderful independent bookstores sometimes have to partner with off-site places, and because of various other things that we can get into if you are genuinely bored or curious, some of these events are ticketed, and to get a ticket you may have to purchase a book from the bookstore hosting the event or pay for a ticket or something. I am sorry if this is an inconvenience to you, and even sorrier if it will prevent me from meeting you, but it is an unfortunate necessity. So please call for tickets.

** Events that do not say TICKETED EVENT in big capital letters are free, although of course an excellent way of saying, "Thank you for bringing David Levithan and John Green to this city" is to buy a book from the bookstore that made it possible.

  1. As a resident of the Southeast, I am sad. I cry inside.

  2. Ditto for the Northwest. What have we done not to deserve a visit???

  3. As a former bkstore manager, I love that you're advocating buying the books from the stores hosting you. I've seen so many big-name "event" authors advocating going to their websites to buy books or sending their readers to Costco (cough-Dr Phil-cough) or other bad things.

Keep bookstores alive! Will you be coming to the Pac NW?

I have to second CatcherGoneAwry, and my heart is broken. It'd be nice if you could come anywhere within non-crazy/stalkerish driving distance of Alabama. Anyway, can't wait to read the new book! DFTBA.

  5. Whatever the mystery LA event is that's not LA Times Book Festival...I'll be there. :-)

The tour spots are great...however, my schedule/opportunites to attend are not. I can't really complain, but still. I do plan on inquiring about and maybe requesting the book at both my local and school library. Good luck, have fun, and make sure Henry and the Yeti write you every day!

  15. I look forward to the Thalia Kids' book club. The last one I went to (for a slightly younger audience reading "Kiki Strike") I was blown away by their insightful questions and short stories.

  17. My only comfort in moving across the country (again) was that I would finally be in a state where things actually happened. A year later and you have made this true. Can't wait to see you in Boulder!

  18. In response to one of the Jessica's in Boston. Our bookstore, R.J. Julia's in Madison, CT actually has reservations for college students coming down from Boston. Maybe you can find a friend and take a drive down.

Are you still going to the LA Times Festival of Books?

  21. I was sad that you weren't coming to Portland, OR. Then today, I was volunteering at the last non-profit feminist bookstore in the country and saw beneath the counter an ADVANCE COPY. And it was signed. And I managed to read the first fifteen pages and it was wonderful. It made up for not getting to see you. Good job, John.

    ReplyDelete
