But the other day I read an article from a writer who was throwing a fit about NaNoWriMo cheapening her sacred career (to be honest I cannot for the life of me remember who wrote it). But it made me curious about the rest of the published author-ly world...

ReplyDeleteAbout two minutes ago, I finished reading Alaska. I know, I'm a bad nerdfighter. I'd read Katherines before B2.0 even started (and loved it), but for some reason, there were so many books to read and so little time, and I never got to Looking for Alaska until now.
But I just wanted to tell you how much your book meant to me. It certainly brought me to tears, but I think that it was more than just the sadness of death. I closed the book, feeling, I don't know. I can't quite describe it. Empty and full at the same time maybe.
Anyway, thank you for giving me the first really meaningful reading experience I've had in a long time. And I can't wait for Paper Towns!
