Holy Crap
I've just come across this astoundingly awesome animation that reimagines "Looking for Alaska" using The Sims 2. Plus I like the soundtrack. Check it:
Wow! Using The Sims to make a movie? I definitely don't have that much skill. Does this mean you are home from the hospital, John? Is so congratulations! I hope you are feeling better.
OH, MY GOD! That is unbelieveably awesome! You just came across it?! How blown is your mind?! I can't think of a more deserving book by a more deserving guy at a more deserving time to receive this honor.
And not only is it faithful to Looking for Alaska, it's eerily reminiscent of what our lives were like back when you were writing Looking for Alaska. Specifically I mean in terms of how we devoted our days mostly to video games and hysterical crying, and how you never changed your shirt.
Also, The Sims 2 looks considerably awesomer than The Sims 1.
That was so beautiful--what a tribute to your story! The animated characters looked so much like how I imagined them (especially Alaska and her too-tight tank-top). What a nice "feel better" gift for you... -Heidi
nice work...im just finishing the book now and im glad you included someone from the university of central florida because thats where ill be starting in the fall!
I hate to put a downer on it, and it was good. But Alaska was blonde in the video, which she is clearly not in the book. and Pudge's pants were not big enough. :D. Sorry to be a critic. haha. The Sims make crying look completely rediculous.

As a Sims 2 user (recovering addict), I can tell you this was extremely difficult and time-consuming to create!
